Raw Jackfruit Cooked In Spices


Raw Jackfruit Cooked In Spices is a recipe which I have tried with some of the spices and it came out tasty. I have tried a lot of recipes like this such as Watercress and Baby Potatoes Stir Fry, Spiced Fried Eggplants and more. 

So, if you like Jackfruit, then you can prepare it at home and eat it either with rice or pharata or even naan. Know that jackfruit has so many health benefits such as it fights wrinkles, promotes hair growth, helps to get a glowing complexion, high in protein, maintains blood pressure, prevents cancer, improves digestion and eyesight, regulates blood sugar levels, lowers risk of heart disease and more. So, you must not miss to have it in your menu.






How To Make Raw Jackfruit Cooked In Spices 

Ingredients

500 g of Raw Jackfruit
250 g of Potatoes
2 chopped Tomatoes
1 chopped Onion
5 Curry Leaves
Thyme
1 tbs of Cumin Seeds
A pinch of Fenugreek Seeds
2 Red Chillies
1 tbs of Ginger and Garlic paste
2 tbs of chopped Fresh Coriander Leaves
1 tbs of Oil
Salt to taste

Instructions


  1. Peel and cut the raw jackfruit into pieces. Here, either put some oil in your hands while you are cutting it or wear a pair of gloves because it is sticky.
  2. Then, wash the jackfruit.
  3. Peel and cut the potatoes into either cubes or the shape you want to. Then, wash them well.
  4. In a saucepan, heat oil.
  5. Add fenugreek seeds, onion, curry leaves and thyme.
  6. Fry them till the onion turns into golden brown colour.
  7. Then add the jackfruit, potato, ginger and garlic paste, salt, some water and mix well.
  8. Leave to cook in medium heat by stirring when needed.
  9. In the meantime, grind the tomatoes, chillies, and cumin seeds in a kitchen grinder.
  10. Add the mixture in the jackfruit and potato curry and mix well.
  11. Leave to cook for more 10 minutes or until the water dries up.
  12. Finally, transfer the curry into a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
