Do you know that you can create your own table runner or even your own tablecloth using blue fabric paint, a Star of David stamp, and a blank tablecloth or runner? You can also simply use a strip of white fabric that has the edges hemmed. If you don't have a stamp, then you can make one with card stock and a large rubber eraser.

Follow the step to step instructions below:
  • First, draw a triangle on the end of the eraser.
  • Use a sharp craft knife to cut around the triangle.
  • Measure one side of the triangle.
  • On a piece of card stock, draw a hexagon making all 6 of its sides the same length as the side of the triangle you measured.
  • Cut out the hexagon.
  • Next, lay the hexagon on the cloth.
  • Paint the triangle-shaped eraser with blue fabric paint.
  • Stamp triangles against each side of the hexagon.
  • Remove the card stock hexagon and there is a 6-sided star.

TIPS


In fact, you can also make your own menorahs by using baby food jars and candles, or even old spools of thread painted in Hanukkah colours. And don't forget to give your guests lots of gelt! They will be very happy.
