If you just observe your behaviours from morning till you fall asleep at night, can you say what are the things that you do that are right and which ones are not good for yourself as per your habits and behaviours?

What if I told that 60% of your actions were based on wrong habits? It can be even more than that depending upon how you live your life. If you pay close attention to what you do when you wake up in the morning, what you do when you walk to your office, when you take your lunch and even when you are busy with a task, you will find that all these are deep-rooted behaviours that you have created and been used to since many years now.


About Being Unaware Of Your Bad Habits


Wait! I’m not saying that taking your lunch or even going to the office is a problem rather what I want to tell you here is that while doing these actions, you were not only busy with these actions rather you were also busy with your own thoughts or even your emotions.

You have the bad habit of thinking while eating, reading, walking, talking, listening, working and in fact, in everything you do.

Let me explain.

When you are taking your lunch, be honest, do you concentrate totally on what you are eating?

I’m sure you must be either thinking about what you are going to do next or even thinking about what someone has told you or even planning about something for your future. In fact, you must definitely be thinking about something, isn’t it?

Most people are like that. They don’t even realize that they are not giving 100% in whatever activity they are doing. They just do the actions and when they make mistakes then they are confused about how did that happen.

This is only one example. In fact, there are many things that you do which are obstacles on your path that either makes you fail in what you are doing or make you make mistakes. These obstacles even stop your motivation and you don’t even know how come you are not being able to do anything worthy in life.

So, the question here is in order to be successful in life, what habits do you need to get settled in so that you can boost your motivation?

I’m not going directly to the new habits that you need to get settled in first just because the first thing that you need to know is how come you created bad habits. You need to understand that those bad habits were the creation of your mind.

Do you know that most of your habits affect your success?

Yes, you may not be aware of it but this is the truth only. Most of your habits affect your success only because you think that those habits are good for you whereas they are not good for your success. They are there to create obstructions on your path to success.

For example, if you have a habit of being lazy then this habit can affect your success and keeps you away from being motivated. Now, if you are not motivated then how will you be able to set goals for yourself and be successful in them?

Like this, there are so many habits that are just useless and energy and time waste. Therefore, you need first to observe yourself and know about the habits and behaviours that are affecting your life. What are the habits that are stopping you to be successful?

I know that you have been used to those habits and behaviours and you may feel that it’s nearly impossible for you to stop or change them but ask yourself these questions: Do you want to just fail in life? Don’t you want to be successful in whatever you do?

So, in order to be successful in life, you will need to change your habits into the new and right ones which will boost your motivation and which will also make you successful in whatever you do in life.

Therefore, if you go on listening to your mind, you will go on failing whereas if you start with the new habits that I am going to share with you here, you will find that how easy it is to be successful in life.

Know that if you want to eliminate existing habits from your life then you will need to create new habits. What will you do with those existing habits which are causing you lots of problems? Put a full stop to them now.

As you know, time is limited for you. You have time for doing so many things in life including sleeping. Now, if you are a busy person, you will also find that time is so limited for you that you are not able to finish a lot of tasks in a day. So, these tasks go on compiling with the new tasks that are coming your way.

Here, when your time is limited and when you waste both your time and energy in wrong behaviours and habits, it’s not only your tasks which suffer but you also suffer. This is where stress starts ruining you followed by anxiety, fear and so many other negative thoughts and negative emotions.

So, the best thing to do here is to eliminate these habits that are wasting your time and energy and go for new habits that can boost your motivation and energy. These new habits are going to erase failure in your life because they are the ones which you really need in order to live a peaceful, successful, meaningful and fulfilling life.

1. Start Your Morning Without Thinking

It may seem weird to you. You may also ask this question: How will I do the things that I usually do in the morning if I don’t think?

This is the habit that you have and which you have always given priority to. As soon as you wake up from sleep in the morning and even if your eyes are still closed, you start thinking. It may be of any thoughts. These thoughts can be about the past or the future. They can never be about the present because in the present you can never think. You can only act in the present moment.

So, when you wake up in the morning without even opening your eyes, what you need to do is to observe yourself.

You will find that your mind is empty. There is not any thought there. Please note here that you may think that your mind is empty when you feel it like that but in reality, you are not in your mind yet.

You are just aware that you are in the state of emptiness. It’s a great inner state which if you practice regularly, you can transform yourself for the best.

So, what you need to do here is that you need to be in that state of emptiness as long as you can. Wait a minute! I know that you have to wake up and do your daily routines. You may even be in a rush to go to work but this doesn’t mean that you have to forget about yourself totally.

I am not telling you to remain there in that emptiness with closed eyes for long. What I want you to do is that you just have to keep being in that emptiness state while opening your eyes, going to the washroom, brushing your teeth, having your breakfast, walking to the office and even whatever you are doing during the day.

Now, you may feel that I am talking nonsense. You may even think that how can you do all these actions while your mind is not there. Well, the fact here is that you don’t need your mind in order to do any action. You may not find it real but try it and you will see that it is the truth.

You can do any action without the mind. Yes, what you need is your brain and awareness.

Here, when you are in that emptiness, you know that you are in that inner state just because you are aware of it. The same way, you will be aware of all your actions. No need for you to think about anything and also no need for you to feel any emotions. Just be active via awareness.

This way, you will find that your concentration, motivation, determination and awareness levels will go on increasing. When they increase then know that you are there living without any problem, without any worries as you are on the right track to be always successful and peaceful in life.


2. Do That Which Are More Important

You will find that there are so many things that you do which don’t have any importance such as gossiping, peeping into other’s personal affairs, watching programs on TV which don’t relate to any life lessons that you need to learn and much more.

Here, both your time and energy get wasted. Best is to look for things that can help you in life such as those things that can develop your skills, talents and make you become more creative. Look for things that can make you grow up from within as well as on the outer level.


3. Be More Aware

For many people, awareness is a new word or even a new thing to learn but in reality, you are born with it but you are not aware of it even when It is with you always.

Have you ever asked yourself: How come I know that I am doing this activity? How come I know that I am in sleep dreaming? How come I know that I am concentrating? How come I know that I am making judgements? How come I know that I am in movements?

Well, the truth is that whatever you do, you are aware of it unless you do things while thinking a lot then you are aware of your thoughts instead of the things that you are doing.

So, this knowing that you are walking, sleeping, jumping, reading, and everything else that you do is your awareness that is making you know about them. Without awareness, you would not be alive.

This is why you need to increase your awareness and the more you are aware, the lesser thoughts and emotions will be there. Here, this means that you are working in being always peaceful.

Do you know that it’s your thoughts and emotions which cause failure in whatever you do?

Yes, if you pay attention closely to yourself, you will find that in most of your activities, your thoughts and emotions come in between in order to disturb you and also distract you. Once you are disturbed, you start doing things the wrong way and this causes failure to you.

This is why being aware always is very important. Here, you will be able to know what you are doing and you will do it perfectly. You will also come to know what you don’t need to do and what decision you need to take in order that everything is fine on your side and other people too can benefit from it.
