Chouchou Gratin
Chouchou is a vegetable which belongs to the gourd family. You can cook it the same way as you cook squash. It is a good source of Vitamin C and is mostly appreciated when it is prepared as Gratin.

Ingredients:
4 Chouchou
1 Onion shredded
50 g grated Cheese
Thyme
Parsley
A pinch of Pepper Powder
4 tbs of Milk Powder
1 tbs of Butter
8 small salted Biscuits crushed finely
Salt to taste
Method:
~ Wash, peel and cut the chouchou in four pieces lengthwise.
~ Boil them in a saucepan till they have become soft.
~ Take them out from the boiling water and crush them with a fork.
~ Heat the butter in a non-stick pan and add the shredded onion while stirring till it is golden brown.
~ Now, add thyme, parsley, crushed chouchou, salt, pepper, 20 g of grated cheese, and milk powder.
~ Mix them well and let them cook for 5 to 8 minutes while stirring continuously.
~ Switch off the oven and transfer the gratin in a serving plate.
~ Decorate with crushed biscuits and the rest of the grated cheese.
Now, it is ready to be served and you can eat it with bread. It is nutritious and tasty too.
Please note that you can also add a beaten egg in the mixture if you wish to and let it cook.
