To plan your time for self-improvement is the greatest gift you can give to yourself. 

It is the right decision that works best for you but how are you going to start with it?

So, the first thing you need to know is what is Self-Improvement? Then, only you will be able to understand better about this topic. You will find that it is a must for everyone to self-improve themselves.


What is Self-Improvement?


Self-improvement consists of two types of personal development. The first one is internal and the other one is external.

Most people talk about self-improvement based on acquiring some kind of success in life. They think that if they go on doing what they are doing and get money from that, it’s an improvement for them already. There are also people who think that if they have become famous then also it is an improvement.

Yes, all these form part of self-improvement as it is a topic which is so broad. But the fact is that one needs to start from within in order to progress both from within and on the outer level too.

Know that the real Self-Improvement happens only when both internal and external are linked together. It has to be like this. Whatever there is from within, the same must be projected on the outer level. Here, there is no place for any imitation. Only truth and reality happen.

Your inner tools and inner powers will be the one working for you to prosper materially and in relationships too.

Know that you can’t be famous or work for money without using your inner tools and inner powers. This is why at the start I have mentioned that self-improvement consists of both internal and external personal development. So, it is a must to start from within you first in order that you can improve on the outer level.

You may not have noticed it but it is the truth only. When you start from yourself in order to improve on the outer level and at the same time, you are unaware of what your inner tools and inner powers are doing for you then know that you won’t progress that much on the outer level.

Perfection on the outer level happens

when you are perfect from within.

Therefore, you need to make sure that you are progressing from within first then everything else will be taken care of. As you can see, in life, you want to improve yourself in relationships, financially, professionally, personally and even more than that but know that without improving yourself from within, the rest won’t improve.

This is why you will find that most people are not successful in whatever they do. There are also many people who are suffering from low self-esteem. Most people are also having lots of problems and obstacles which are, in return, having a bad effect on their health.

So, know that it’s time for you to plan rightly for your self-improvement, starting with yourself, in order that you can live a more fulfilling, meaningful and peaceful life.

You must be wondering where to start from, right?

Well, it’s best for you to write your plan for self-improvement in a journal. This way, it will be easier for you to know how to plan your time as well. I know that you must have a busy schedule but self-improvement is a must to include in your life otherwise, you won’t be getting the results that you want to get.

So, it’s best for you to write your plan for self-improvement in your journal and commit to them. Your journal will be there as a reminder too if you forget about what you need to do.

Here, you will find some of the tips in order to plan your time for self-improvement.


1. Create your space

It is a must to create your space. You need time for yourself. So, don’t be that busy that you forget yourself. When you find time for yourself then you will realize that there is much improvement to be done within you.

Space is that key which gives you a break from the outer world. Here, you are able to evaluate yourself. So, the first thing that you must do is to wake up earlier than usual. This way, you will be able to create enough time for yourself.




2. Meditate

Now that you have enough time for yourself, therefore, the first thing to do when you wake up in the morning is to meditate. When you come out from sleep, you have a fresh mind and you will find that it is normally empty at that time. So, don’t try to go in your mind to look for any thoughts rather let your mind stay empty. Here, just focus on that emptiness as long as you can.

You must be wondering why you should meditate in the morning and what does it have to do with your self-improvement, isn’t it?

Know that meditation is the most important key for self-improvement. You may be thinking that how can someone improve by just sitting and closing the eyes. Well, for you it may be just sitting and closing the eyes but the fact is that there are many improvements that happen during that time that you are not aware of.

• Cleansing is happening at that moment.

• Unnecessary thoughts are eliminated.

• Unnecessary emotions are eliminated.

• You become peaceful and blissful.

• There is not any tension.

• You feel fresh and fit.

You may have got problems at work or relationship’s problem the day before and as you wake up, you start thinking about them and create stress in you. So, when you focus on meditation as soon as you wake up, you will find that you are starting your day peacefully.

So, here you must give time to meditation and it has to be for 1-hour minimum. You can put your alarm so that you can stop your meditation in case you get late for work.




3. Know your goals for the day

Without goals, you won’t be motivated. So, take some time for yourself in order to decide which goal you need to focus on first. Once you have made your decisions, then get motivated and work on them one by one.

You may have small goals for the day that you are going to set for yourself. So, the most important ones have to be tacked first. This is because, in the morning, you are much more energized than in the afternoon.

Now, while working on your goals, don’t be in a hurry. See to it that you are focusing rightly on them and be determined to complete them successfully. You can set a time to work on each goal but make sure that you don’t rush yourself.

The fact is that every goal doesn’t need the same length of time. You may be able to complete some of them in lesser time too. Therefore, see to it that at the end of the day, you have accomplished all your goals successfully.

One more thing to add here is that you need to give some space in between each goal. Take a break when you finish one goal. Relax. It is a must for you because this relaxation itself will help you to get motivated for the next goal.

Many times, people are in a hurry. As soon as they complete one goal, they go on working on the next one and it is here that they make the greatest mistake.

Know that you are not a robot which is monitored in such a way that there’s no break. You are a human being and your physical body functions differently from that of a robot.

So, this means that you need to give a break to your inner tools and inner powers which you have used in order to complete your goal. When you give them a break, then they also strengthen you and thus, you are motivated in order that you can start your next goal.

This is why it is a must to give importance to your inner tools and inner powers. You will find that as soon as you give them the importance needed, they start doing miracles for you.




4. Commit yourself

Yes, be honest with yourself. You need to commit yourself to the time that you give to your self-improvement. See to it that whatever you have decided to do for your own self-improvement, you are actually doing them.

Don’t ever let yourself unmotivated for the same. Don’t let yourself get distracted too. This is because if you do so, you will then lose track to improve yourself for the best and your goal also will suffer.

So, commitment here is very important. When you commit yourself in your self-improvement, you will find that you are strengthening yourself gradually too.




5. Focus totally to eliminate obstacles

Total focusing is very important. When you work on your goals and you don’t focus totally, then you will find that when there are obstacles on your way, you are disturbed and don’t know what to do.

But, when you focus totally, you will find that you don’t have time to see these obstacles rather you are concentrating totally on your goals and this means, you are only seeing your goals. By doing so, you are just crushing those obstacles and moving forward in being successful in whatever goals you have set for yourself.

Here, you will find that you are not going to waste time rather you are going to save time to complete your goals.

When you are not focusing totally on a goal, then when you see the obstacles, you are tensed and upset too. Here, you tend to ignore your goal and focus on your tension and this is where you lose track on your goal and also kill your motivation. You also waste your time.




6. Self-Awareness

Be always aware when you do anything. You may be wondering why you should do this but the fact is that it’s only when you are aware that you don’t make mistakes or create problems for yourself.

Therefore, the more you stay away from mistakes and problems, the greater your performance is for your goals. Here also, you will lessen your time on your goals.

Make sure that you should not focus on your thoughts or emotions rather see to it that you are always aware of what you are doing.

Know that the plan that you decide should always allow development along the way. You need to work consistently on them so that you can get the required results.



Once you are done with these, you will find that nothing is impossible for you as you will be able to know your abilities and capabilities.
