Self-Improvement is not only to improve yourself from within but it is also about improving yourself materially too. In fact, self-improvement is such a topic which can improve yourself completely both from within and on the outer level.
It's obvious that you can't improve yourself only from within and not using the same process in the outer level in order to live a better life. If you don't do so, then you haven't learned anything. You haven't learned the lessons that your inner improvement wants you to learn.

You also have a job and you want to prosper materially in life. So, if you really want to prosper materially in life, it's not a bad thing that you are doing. In fact, it is very important for you to be successful in whatever you do in life. So, if you are here on this planet, this means that you will need to live comfortably and accordingly.
You will have to learn both from within and from the material world too. Then only you can call yourself a complete person.
Don't be like those who just work on themselves from within and then, forget the material world. There are some people like that. They take the material world as a sin. For them, it’s a sin to progress materially, it’s a sin to have money, it’s a sin to live a comfortable life.
Know that if a person has really evolved spiritually, then he won’t see this material world as a sin. In fact, he will try to make the maximum out of it. This is because he knows the value of the purpose of his life. He knows that he is here to know in-depth about himself and also he will have to learn from this material world.
If you see people who are staying away from this material world, then this means that they are running away from their responsibilities. They haven’t evolved to the higher state yet. They are still in their mindset.
If you are seeing this material world as sin then this means that you are being in a certain type of mindset. So, a highly evolved person will not be in any type of mindset. He has already freed himself from the mind.
So, know that you need not focus only on either your inner development or your outer development. You need to focus on both. This is the main key for a better material life. Without this key, you won't have a balanced and successful life.
