You may not have noticed but at some point, you do worry about your self-image. Many times, you become indecisive when you are in front of the mirror watching yourself and finding what is wrong with your face or the way you look.
But this is not all as self-image is not only that. It is deeper than that. It is about how you see yourself in a more expanded level both from within and on the outer level. So, you have an idea about yourself, your mental and emotional states and your abilities and capabilities.
Here, you know at some point how you are as a person and you have two options either you build-up your self-image or be as you are.
Why Are You Worrying About Your Self-Image?
It’s only when you see that other people are more comfortable than you that you start seeing something is wrong with you because you are not like them. Finally, you take the decision to start taking care of yourself.
The first thing you do is that you go to the beauty parlour and have a facial along with a new hairstyle.
Secondly, you start going to a fitness club to build the look of your body. So, try changing the way your body looks.
But this is not all that you need because you are just considering how you look from the outside. Here, you want other people to be attracted by your looks. You need to understand that it’s not about how other people think or feel about you.
The most important is how you feel about yourself. You don’t need to do all that in order for other people to be attracted to you rather you need to do all that only because you want to change yourself for the best. You need to be self-satisfied with what you are doing.
So, most people change themselves at some point only because of other people’s judgments. They don’t try to change themselves for their own self-satisfaction. This is where you go wrong. It’s your body and you have to take the decision on your own of how you want to live your life.
Understand that your self-image must be that who you want to be not how other people must think about you. In fact, the greatest way to change your self-image is to grow from within and expand this growth on the outer level.
For example, if you have low self-esteem, then it is high time that you consider to work on your personal development.
Work on yourself. Work in boosting your confidence, increasing the level of your self-image, being successful in whatever you do.
Overall, you need to focus on your own personal growth. Don’t take into consideration of how you should be as per other people’s views. You need to be comfortable with yourself. So, this must be your own decision. You need to perceive yourself as a powerful being and work in knowing your abilities and capabilities.
So, stop being doubtful of yourself, instead, focus on your own self-improvement.
The more you focus on it, you will find that you will be transformed for the best and thus, you won’t have any worries about your self-image because you know now that it is you only who can build your self-image to the highest level, not anyone else. You have your inner powers to do it and you have your potentials too.
Know that whatever you see in the mirror and how you perceive yourself is the game of your mind. It’s your thoughts that make you judge yourself. So, stop being a puppet of your mind rather overpower it by working hard on yourself.
