I’m sure most of you haven’t done so. Here, I am not saying that you must just relax for some minutes because relaxation is just a technique and in fact, many people don’t even know how to relax properly. They think that just by closing their eyes and resting their body is called relaxation.

No. The true relaxation happens when you are physically, mentally and emotionally inactive. This can happen to you only when you practice awareness and relaxation techniques regularly. So, it’s only at the end of relaxation that you are able to be yourself.

Now, it’s here really that you go in deep meditation and after that in deep sleep which is without any disturbance. There’s nothing as dream here. Your sleep is so deep that you are able to absorb even more energy than usual.

It’s a process of being deep enough within yourself. Until you don’t go in-depth within yourself, you won’t be able to know and be yourself.

This is why you will find so many people having insomnia problems. They are so disturbed physically, mentally and emotionally that they are not able to focus within themselves at all. They even don’t find it important too.

They just know that there are thoughts and emotions in them but in reality, these are not the depth that you really need. These are not depth at all. They are rather the clouds that are covering the real you.



Know that till you give importance to those clouds, you won’t be able to sleep well. Have you ever noticed that when you go to bed and when you go on thinking continuously about either the past or what you are going to do the next day, you come to sleep late?

When you sleep late with those thoughts, you tend to wake up late too and not only that, you also feel as if you have worked a lot and you are exhausted already.

The fact is that you haven’t done anything yet as you have just woke up from sleep but still, it’s as if you don’t have that energy to do your daily activities.

This is all because you don’t know how to manage your sleep. You tend to do things that prevent you from sleeping well. You tend to create many barriers to your sleep.

First of all, before knowing how to master your sleep, you need to understand sleep. What is sleep? Why do you need to sleep? What is the importance of sleep? What happens when you are asleep? You can learn about it here, here and here.

Once you know about these then it becomes easy to manage your sleep. Here are some tips on how to master your sleep:

• Make sure that you don’t think before sleeping.

• Make sure that you only go to bed when you feel sleepy.

• Always meditate with the right technique on your bed before sleeping. This will help you eliminate thoughts and emotions. This way, you will have an empty mind which makes it easier for sleep to happen to you.

• Make sure that your bed and pillow are comfortable. If they are not comfortable, you tend to just move from this side to the other side and sleep late. You will also have physical pain when you wake up in the morning.

• Make sure that your bedroom is clean and neat.

• Don’t go to sleep just after having dinner.

• Don’t have a heavy dinner otherwise, you will have an upset stomach and you won’t feel sleepy.

• Always make sure that your bedroom window is a little open for fresh air to enter. This is very important otherwise you will feel suffocated in a closed bedroom and you will wake up at night several times.

• Make sure that your bedroom light is off because, with the light on, it will disturb your sleep. You need darkness to sleep well.

These tips will surely transform you. You will be able to have a sound sleep and also wake up feeling totally fit and ready for your entire day.
