Challenging yourself to build self-discipline may look quite difficult for you, isn’t it? 

In fact, the first most difficult thing to do, that most people find, is to challenge themselves. 

Why is it so difficult? What makes it difficult?

If you find that challenging yourself is too difficult then challenging yourself to build self-discipline must look impossible for you, isn’t it? But know that both are not that difficult. It’s only in your mind.

The negative thing that you are nourishing is just your mind’s trick. You can’t be that weak. In fact, you are not going to challenge yourself rather you are going to challenge your mind, your ego. I’m going to explain it.

The fact is that you don’t really need to challenge yourself. As you are naturally, you are perfect but the problem here is of your mind. You think that you are your mind that is why this phrase ‘Challenge yourself’ has to be used. Your thoughts are not you. Your emotions are not you.

You are very special in your real nature. This is why you need to challenge your mind in order that you can quickly build self-discipline. Once you are able to build self-discipline, you will find that how life is easy for you.



All this time, you have been seeing life as per your mind. You have nourished so many negative thoughts and emotions. These are the weapons of your mind which go on weakening you and you think that you are doing right.

When you find yourself down or upset, it’s not because of you rather it’s because of your mind. Just discipline yourself to eliminate your mind and see how peaceful and blissful you become.

So, your next move must be in challenging yourself (your mind) in order to quickly build self-discipline. How to do that? This is what I am going to tell you here.

It’s not that tough as you may think. You just have to train yourself to go against your mind. 

Here are some ways that you can do it:

List down your weaknesses: This is a great way to know yourself. In fact, your weaknesses are obstacles in your life. They are the ones that blind you from knowing how strong you are. Now, what you must do is to take one weakness at a time and work on that. You need to go against it and that means you need to do the opposite. For example, if you have the habit of thinking that you can’t handle a difficult situation as soon as it appears, then, don’t stay idle or show your weaknesses. Instead, here, you must work on your inner strength and bring that courage back which is hidden below your weaknesses. As soon as your inner strength break those obstacles and emerge on the surface, you will find that you will be able to tackle any difficult situations. All it needs is to eliminate your weaknesses and increase your inner strength.

Check out your temptations: If you have the habit of being tempted many times by things that are not good for you then it is great time that you eliminate them from your life. Temptations are obstacles that can harm not only your health but also your life. For example, if you are tempted to go to a place where there is full of negative vibes only because you want to know what happens there, do you find this a good thing to do? What if you are not well prepared for that? Then, definitely, you will attract those negative vibes and the consequences will be that you will be having bad health and you will even behave negatively. So, know that not everything that you find interesting or which is tempting to you are really worth it. You are not only wasting your time and energy but you are also risking your life.


In fact, the list of challenging yourself to quickly build self-discipline is very long but if you are able to manage these two ways then you are going to find a great inner transformation in you. Just practice them as often as you can. This way, you will be increasing your confidence, self-esteem and inner strength.

You may not have noticed but most people suffer from problems that are caused by a lack of self-discipline. Self-discipline is very important. Without it, inner transformation cannot happen to you. So, if you want to succeed in life and lessen your sufferings, you will have to build self-discipline.

Once you build your self-discipline, you will realize how stronger you have become.
