Are You Wondering About What Christmas Tree To Buy?

Are you wondering what Christmas Tree to buy this year? In fact, every time the holiday season comes, people start wondering about what Christmas tree to choose. They want to buy the best one that they will carry home and decorate with their collection of ornaments. In fact, you have two choices, either to buy natural Christmas Tree or the artificial one. For that, you don't have to wait when Christmas is near then to get your tree rather you should buy it well in advance.

What Christmas Tree To Buy?

This means that if you have decided to get a natural tree, then it is better you get it before Thanksgiving. It will still be fresh and looking healthy and green through Christmas. Have you noticed that when you wait for the last moment to buy your Christmas Tree, you finally find out that all the best ones are no more? They are already sold out. This also happens with the artificial ones.

In fact, you can buy your Artificial Christmas Tree online. There is a wide selection to choose from or you can shop at a Christmas tree farm for your natural Christmas Tree.

If you want to make a good choice for your natural Christmas Tree, then it's very easy to tell which trees are healthy and fresh. You just have to see the amount of needles that fall from the tree when it is handled. If only a few needles are coming off then it is alright, but if you pick the tree up and it loses needles fast, then know that it is not a good tree.

In fact, the needles have to be pliant and have a nice, fresh scent to them. If your choice is to go and pick up a tree at a Christmas tree farm, then you can pick out your tree and even cut it down yourself.

You will find that often the prices of a tree at a Christmas tree farm is less expensive than buying one from anywhere else. The fun about it is that you can turn the event into a family outing too.

White Fir Christmas Tree

Once you have decided where you are going to buy your tree, then you need to know the best kind of tree you should purchase. There are several top choice trees to choose from, but you have to make sure that you get the one that suits your decorating needs.

You will find that the Christmas Trees in the pictures here are Artificial ones. They are just to give you an idea about how they usually look like. You can also opt for them if you are not going to buy a natural one.

In the Fir family, there is the White Fir. If you want to get a tree before Thanksgiving, this is a good choice. The needles last longer and the tree has a good scent too. Also in the Fir family is the Fraser Fir and decorating this tree is a breeze because the branches are not overly crowded.

This is the main thing you have to look for when picking up a tree. You will definitely not like to pick up the one where the branches are crowded in too closely. Then, it will be too hard to get your hands in among the branches to hang your ornaments and other decorations.

Balsam Fir Christmas Tree

There is another lovely scented tree in the Fir group which is the Balsam Fir and it is the one that many people recognize due to the strong and fresh scent.

Grand Fir Christmas Tree

There is also the Grand Fir, but this is a tree better chosen for ornaments that are lighter.

Noble Fir Christmas Tree

The Noble Fir is good for decorating and is quite sturdy.

Colorado Blue Spruce Christmas Tree

In the Spruce tree family, the Colorado Blue Spruce is considered a good choice for both heavy and light ornaments.

Norway Spruce Christmas Tree

The Norway Spruce has easily dropped needles. So, don’t purchase this one too far in advance however if you wish to have the artificial one, you can get it earlier.

Scotch Pine Christmas Tree

The Scotch Pine has very sharp needles, but doesn’t shed easily, so if you don’t want to vacuum up needles, this one is a good pick.

Know that whichever Christmas tree you will choose, when you get it home, be sure to cut off a small part of the base (about a quarter inch). Never let the water level of the tree get too low. This can cause your tree to dry out and lose needles.
