How To Write Your First Blog Post In Wordpress

If you are new to Wordpress, then don't worry about how to start with it. It is very easy. 

You just have to follow the step to step instructions that you will find here.

How To Write Your First Blog Post Using Wordpress - Step To Step Instructions

So, let's start.

After you have hosted your Domain with your Web Hosting, you will have to install Wordpress. Once installed, you are ready to start working.

Logging Into Wordpress

First thing, you must do is to Log In to your Dashboard with your Username and Password. My web hosting is Siteground and it is very easy to use. In order to Log In to your Dashboard, you must have the url of the website which will look like this https://domainname.com/wp-admin (Note: In the place of domainname.com, your actual site name will appear there).

Please note that it is very important for you to save your Username and Password somewhere in a folder in your desktop as you will be using them often.

After you have logged in, it will take you to your Dashboard.

Write Your First Blog Post

It's so exciting as you have got your own Website now and it's the first time you are going to write something that the whole world will see. 

The most important in blogging is Content. You need to write Original Contents. So, see to it that whatever you are writing is your own creation. 

So, what you should do when you have to start writing your first Blog Post?

• At the left-hand side, you will find all the titles which you will have to choose as per what you need to do.
• To make your first blog post, click on Add New under Posts.
• At the top, you will have to write the Title of your post.
• Then, you can start writing your content in the blank white space you see below.
• You can choose the Fonts you want and also add Links and Images to your content.
• In order to add images, you will have to click on the 'Add Media' button which is found at the top just under your Blog Post Title.
• To add a Link, you will have to type the sentence or words, highlight them and then click on the 'Insert Link Symbol' found at the top in the Toolbar. It is like an Attachment Symbol.

So, you can start writing your Blog Post. In order to be on the safe side, click on the 'Save Draft' button as you write. You can also add a Category for the Blog Post you are writing.

• The Category option is found at the right-hand sidebar 'Categories'.
• You just have to press on the '+Add New Category' and write the name you want for your content to be featured as.

When you have finished with your first Blog Post, you just click the 'Publish' button and it's done. Your first blog post is now live to everyone in the world. 

You can share it with everyone via the Share Buttons which you have to include. For that, you will need to download a Plugin. 

You can choose one from the Plugin Section, download it and activate it. Then, follow the step to step instructions as per the Plugin you have chosen.
